Greetings to all residents & friends of Fulbeck!

Here we are in 2021 & so far we could be forgiven for thinking not much has changed from last  year as we are heading to our 4th week of lockdown again.

HOWEVER –the end IS in sight with the much anticipated & now very welcome vaccination rollout.  It won’t be instant protection but certainly a step in the right direction & as more of us get it the  nearer we are to being able to get out & about a bit more. Now we have the 2 versions of the  vaccine more people will soon get their turn.

On a lighter note we’re now seeing more light in the evenings every day & there are signs of Spring  emerging amidst the odd days of downpours or snow flurries. It does feel like Nature is trying to  help keep our spirits up by compensating for the horrible days with a few nice ones to cheer us up!  As I write we are in –2 C snow but also bright sunshine & I have some green shoots in the garden  & like many of you am looking forward to the warmer weather to allow us to enjoy our gardens and  park even more. We are very lucky to live where we do, aren’t we?

Looking forward the next issue we would love to hear from some of our younger residents about  what they have been doing in lockdown, & what new things you’’ve been trying! Write a poem.  draw us a picture or share your favourite joke. We look forward to hearing from you.

Don’t forget we still have the local volunteers of the Fulbeck Resilience Forum to help you should  you need shopping, prescriptions or anything else collecting to keep you safe at home.  Please don’t risk going out unless essential.

Stay safe & take care. Gill
